I made this video to demonstrate in depth cleaning of the brush roll, bushings and motor shaft on the Shark cordless Vacuum. As these get bound with hair the battery life becomes shorter.

While I do show you how, you do not actually need to crack the case and clean the motor shaft every time, just go through the brush roll removal and cleaning to improve battery life. Just check the motor shaft every now and then, how often will depend on the hair in your house and the amount you use the vacuum.

The Dyson V8 Absolute cordless vacuum is Dyson’s best cordless stick vacuum. It has some upgrades Vs. the V6 version. This includes a bigger battery, up to double the battery life (40 minutes), a 27% larger dust bin, and a battery indicator light has been added. The V8 Absolute is 50% Quieter than the V6 models. The biggest change to the V8 is a new dust ejection system, which cleans the screen and bin all in one step. The V8 Animal version has all the same features, but without the extra fluffy hard floor tool. This video will demonstrate this feature.

The V8 Absolute cordless vacuum comes with many accessories, including the motorhead floor tool, the fluffy hard floor tool, the mini motorized brush (great for pet hair), a crevice tool, mini soft dusting brush, and a combination tool.

The Dyson V8 Absolute is one of only three cordless stick vacuums with true HEPA filtration. This is important if you have allergies or pets. The other vacuums with HEPA are the Dyson V6 absolute cord free vacuum Dyson V8 Animal, and Dyson V7.

The Dyson V6 is a cordless stick vacuum with a surprising amount of power and great convenience, but will it pass our cleaning tests?

This vacuum is a few years old, but continues to be one of the most powerful stick vacuums on the market. The digital motor and 2,200 mAh battery result in solid performance. The motorized brushroll is great for a variety of surface types, including hardwood floors, tile, carpet, and more.

The biggest con is simply the price. Even though it’s a few years old this vacuum still hoovers in the $250-$300 range, making it fairly expensive for a stick vacuum.
